The Banfield Art Crawl began in 2023 when three local artists suspected there were enough creatives in the neighbourhood to create an engaging art tour. After canvassing the streets with flyers, more than 30 artists and makers joined that very first year.
In 2024, the crawl expanded to welcome guest artists from outside the Banfield neighbourhood, invited by local residents. The 2026 event featured 43 artists and makers and despite the terrible weather, most of them were able to show their wares, and people came out in their rain gear, to view, to buy and to be part of the community. A few familiar faces were missing, but we are hoping that 2027 will see them return, with new faces in the mix to join in the fun. Walk our streets, view the art, and enjoy the charm of our neighbourhood—its historic homes, towering trees, and friendly, welcoming community. The 2027 Banfield Art Crawl will be held on May 29.
Interested in joining us in 2027?
The only requirement is that your work is all-people friendly, and that you secure a location within the pie-shaped neighbourhood, bordered by Banfield Street, Capron Street, and Grand River St. N. Send us an email and we’ll be happy to include you when registration invitations for 2027 are sent out by email (September/October 2026).
